I am downsizing for a smaller home in Panama City, Florida

-------       -------       -------

RCA VICTOR Victrola Model 9-W-106

about 1951, of the first console models to have AM & FM & two turntables

A compact design with all features, works very well

AM & FM Mono - single speaker, two turntables, two record storage cabinets

45 RPM turntable - new phono cartridge - Needs a rubber idler wheel to reduce the wobble.

Other than the wobble, this plays and sounds great, but needs rotation help to start next 45 on stacker.

A new rubber idler wheel will remove the wobble and probably fix the rotation force on stacker.

33-78 RPM turntable - new phono cartridge -

This plays and sounds great, No wobble, but needs rotation help to start next album on stacker.

A new rubber idler wheel will probably fix the rotation force on stacker.

An 8-tube AM & FM radio that works very well with great volume tone and reception

No static or hum or scratchy noises on this receiver or records, it simply sounds great

Three knobs, dark and hard to see, the top knob is on-vol in back and 4-selections in front

The select knob is for 33/78 - 45 - AM - FM

Second knob is the tuner for AM - FM

Third knob is for tone

All cabinet doors have very sturdy and well designed hinges

Both turntables have solid copper foundations

The body of this console is in very good condition, no major dings or scratches, some minor

The top has been refinished before, but has some blemishes, not major but could use another refinish

All knobs and hinges are original in excellent shape with no repairs

Light on the bottom is actually red-orange, radio dial lights all work

The label is a copper-green color and hard to read but very legible with a magnifier

The spots on the label are actually punched holes - for some unknown purpose

Golden Throat Certification Sticker is attached but torn

All together a fine functional and reliable small sized console

Cabinet dimensions - 39" width - 17" depth - 32" height

The speaker grill cloth was changed

The original phono cartridges and speaker cloth are in the cabinet

-------       -------       -------

GRUNOW Model 11-G All Band Radio

about 1936 or 1937, console AM & Short Wave bands

Made by Grunow General Household Utilities Co. Chicago

A well known unique Clock Face Dial make it easy to remember and move to different stations

4:38 on the clock dial reads my AM 110 local radio station

The "Radio Eye" "Signal Beacon" indicator on top let you see the signal strength

The sound on this radio is world class for that era pre WWII, 1936-37

Amazing bass can rattle the walls with very clear treble voice, good for large rooms

There is a faulty capacitor that pops after a minute or two, but settles down in about ten minutes. I have not found which one is faulty - this is an 11-tube 600vdc unit which can be dangerous to work on in live testing

Cabinet is in fine shape generally

Small scratches and dings, but looks are very good

The bottom two inches around the base have some delaminating of the plywood finish

This is not critical, but needs to be handled carefully to keep from breaking the wood finish

All sides look very good for 79 years age

There are two original knobs (I think) and two knobs that I had to add

A wire loop antenna runs around the entire cabinet perimeter

And it has two large clamps that attach to optional antenna wires

This is in addition to the normal two screw on antenna terminals

This is a Grundow model 11-G, I have the diagrams for 11-A and 11-H and 12-A

Altogether, this has a nice exceptional sound, and a very interesting easy to remember dial

Those were the selling points of the time, and modern systems need to step up to those features

-------       -------       -------

Emerson Model 756-B AM Radio

about 1953

Made by Emerson Radio Phonograph Corporation, NY USA

Works very well and sounds good - AM only with 6-tubes

The 6v dial and red indicator lamp burns out after several uses - spikes at shutoff

Cabinet is in great shape, gold leaf lettering has some deterioration

Some yellow paint on the back, but very few scratches or dings on the bakelite finish

-------       -------       -------

RCA Victor AM Radio Model 2 X 61

about 1953

Golden Throat Certified sticker attached

A very basic front design Bakelite case 7-tube receiver

This did not work until a few tubes and capacitors were changed

Now the volume will step high and low, either a tube or capacitor leaking

It does settle down and works when it wants to

The bakelite is cracked on top, but glued back together

Some of the metal trim around the dial is dented and dial is scratched - but not too bad

All my fixit information is on the back

The volume variation may be an intermittent tube problem, but I had no replacement 12SA7

All seven tube filaments are in series

-------       -------       -------

More Radio Photos to add

Halicrafters SX-99  AM and Short Wave Receiver

Works well and in Excellent Condition

Lafayette HA 230 Receiver AM and CB bands

Works fair, has weak input, but with a good antenna, it will receive

-------       -------       -------

Magnavox Astro Sonic Stereo Console

About 1960 - 1964

Works excellent in all functions, AM-FM, 78-33-45rpm record changer

Great cabinet style, looks good all over, no dings or wear and sounds great

Some overspray and water stains on top sliding doors, need refinishing to make perfect

An excellent record changer and radio, new cartridge and 78 - 33/45 flip needle

Stacked records need no assist to run perfectly, my favorite unit to play my 45's

About 20 capacitors were changed in the transistor amplifier, everything is working now, all parts were saved.

NOTE: Right channel is fading on tone and volume recently. I suspect that another capacitor has gone bad that I missed on change-out. Will replace them on next repair session.

Doors can slide or be removed by lifting off show a storage box for the albums and 45's

Knob on the left is for switching speakers internal - external - both

Ready to plug and play for any good home, this is a nice and useful item

50" width, 18" depth, 28" high in front, 30" high on back trim

-------       -------       -------

A simple small desk with exceptional style

About 1930 - 1940

Worn finish in an interesting way, well used but no big dings or gouges

An excellent size for computer work, with good drawer space, and the drawers slide easily

Note the scroll work all the way around the top and bottom with no dings, only surface scratches

Quite a beautiful and comfortable desk with a lot of history

Eight side drawers will all hold paper at 9" wide and 15" deep, center drawer 17" wide 15" deep 3.2" high inside

All knobs are in great shape and style, nothing needing repairs

Desk is 43" wide 22" deep 30" high, and under center drawer is 23.5" high
